Thoughts in Blue

Acrylic and gold leaf paint on cut wood

This abstract painting was made in a way that forced myself to release my concept of control. For the longest time I felt that painting with thick paint and pallet knife felt wrong. Almost like it was a sin. This process allowed me to let go and see where the paint would take me, no direction, just feeling. Thoughts in Blue felt like wadding through an ocean to find peace among the acceptance.
